Water Tanker Efficiency: Minimizing Water wastage

This project aims to redesign water tankers to reduce water wastage by employing principles from the Eco Design Toolkit, system thinking, and conducting a life cycle assessment of the distribution channel. By identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions, such as modifying valve structures with meters to prevent partial opening, we aim to address gaps in current practices. Additionally, we plan to enhance communication by designing and adding infographic user manuals directly onto the tanker. A system portal will be developed to regulate operations and monitor staff behavior, promoting accountability. Furthermore, the integration of level sensors during filling or loading processes will enable precise detection of water flow, preventing spillage. Through these initiatives, we seek to optimize water tanker efficiency and minimize waste in water distribution.
